These notices came from the East India Company Register for 1832, which recorded information for the previous year (1831).
The Colonial Magazine Commercial-Maritime Journal 1840 and 1842 and 1843
Also so known as Fisher's Colonial Magazine Commercial-Maritime Journal, this magazine was published by Fisher & Son in London and contained birth, marriage and death notices for people in the East Indies, West Indies, Australia and Africa. Copies of this magazine for 1840 to 1845 can be found on the Australian National Library's website www.nla.gov.au. Only those notices relating to the East Indies and the East India Company are listed in this website.
Naval Chronicle
The Naval Chronicle, published by the British Royal Navy, recorded some births, marriages and deaths for the Seamen who sailed the East Indiamen (usually the Captains); the ships of the East India Company Naval Service.
New Zealand Papers
A number of the men who were employed as soldiers, sailors or administrators by the East India Company settled in New Zealand when they left the company's service. Or some of their decendents settled in New Zealand so occasionally birth, marriage and death notices in New Zealand newspapers made reference to the HEICo.
